My goal for Racing for Hope is to raise $3400 for the Greater PA & Southern WV chapter of the Make a Wish Foundation. Their mission, “We grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.”
The plan is to participate in one race a month from March until November, some months have more. The races range from a 5k, 10k and 50k ultra marathon to a marathon and half-marathon and a biathlon and triathlon. Read More…
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Pennsylvania and Southern West Virginia was founded in May 1983 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Bryan was a seven-year-old cancer patient who wanted to visit his favorite uncle in Texas for one of his famous piggy-back rides. Today, the chapter has granted more than 12,000 wishes. We are the first chapter in the world to fulfill more than 700 wishes in one year. Read more...
